What helpMate collects when you request a worker, apply to be a mate, or contact us.

Last updated: 20 October 2026

Who this notice covers

This notice covers visitors to bookhelpmate.com, people who send a worker request or partner application, HelpMate staff using the workspace, and people who contact helpMate. For questions about our use of information, contact support@bookhelpmate.com.

Details used for a worker request

  • Name and phone number: to identify your request and contact you.
  • Selected service and duration: to review the work and prepare a price estimate.
  • House or flat number, street address, city or locality, and six-digit postal code (PIN): to check serviceability and tell an assigned worker where to go if you accept a booking.
  • Preferred date and time: to check availability and arrange the visit.
  • Price estimate: to record what was shown when you submitted the request.

We also receive the information you choose to include when you email us. The form does not ask for payment-card details or identity documents. If you choose UPI payment, your UPI app and bank handle the transfer. We receive payment details from our bank and any transaction ID you send to support.

Why we use these details

We use booking details to review your request, check location and worker availability, contact you, discuss the task and final price, and arrange a visit if you decide to proceed. We use contact messages to respond to questions, changes, privacy requests, and service issues. Submitting a request does not confirm a booking or take payment. We do not use booking details for marketing without a separate choice.

Booking and payment

Sending a worker request does not confirm a booking. Worker availability, task scope, and the final price need confirmation. After sending a request, you may choose to pay the displayed estimate by UPI or wait until we confirm the worker and final price. Check the recipient and amount in your UPI app before approving a transfer. Opening the app does not tell helpMate whether the transfer succeeded. A UPI transfer does not itself confirm a booking. If you pay, send the UPI transaction ID to support so we can check it. If we cannot fulfil a request you have paid for, contact support with your UPI transaction ID so we can arrange a refund.

Who receives details

Booking requests are stored with our database provider, Supabase. Our website host handles technical data needed to serve pages, and Google Fonts may receive technical connection data when fonts load. If a booking is confirmed, we share the service, visit time, address, and contact details needed for the job with the assigned worker. We may disclose information when required by law. Service providers may process information from locations outside India; we have not published a complete country-by-country list.

Staff workspace

Approved HelpMate managers and mates can use a separate staff workspace. We use registered staff phone numbers to send sign-in codes and to control access. Managers can see worker requests and assignment history; a mate can see requests assigned to that mate. The workspace records assignment decisions, status changes, and job updates to operate and review visits. If you are staff, contact support to ask about your workspace information.

Partner applications

If you apply to work with HelpMate, we collect your name, mobile number, optional email, current address and PIN, services you can provide, experience, availability, and which type of identity document you could show later. We use these details to review your application and contact you. The application form does not collect an Aadhaar number or identity-document image. Only authorized managers can view applications; applying does not create a staff account. Contact support to ask about or withdraw your application details.

Storage and security

We keep booking and partner application records for operations, support, disputes, and legal obligations. We have not set a fixed deletion period for all records. We use access controls for stored information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. You may ask us to erase information that is no longer needed, subject to applicable record-keeping requirements.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can withdraw your booking-data consent or request a summary of information we hold about you, a correction, an update, or erasure by emailing support@bookhelpmate.com. You can also use that address to raise a privacy complaint or ask how to nominate someone to exercise your rights. Include the phone number used for the request and what you want us to do; please do not send identity documents unless we specifically ask for a safe verification method. We may verify that a request concerns your information before acting. Withdrawal may prevent us from completing a pending worker request. We will explain if some information must be retained for legal reasons.

Complaints

Send privacy grievances to support@bookhelpmate.com. We will review and respond through that channel. When the Digital Personal Data Protection Board's complaint process is available for your matter, you may also use that process after seeking redressal from us.

Children

The worker request form is intended for adults aged 18 or older. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian to contact us instead.

Changes

We may update this notice as the service or legal requirements change. The date above identifies this version.
